Travel in JapanĀ

Hakuba Valley and Snowbird Pension can be accessed from Tokyo in a number of ways.

We would suggest that if you wish to spend time in Tokyo on arrival in Japan that you forward your skiing and boarding equipment via courier from the airport direct to the Pension.

From Narita Airport there is either the Narita Express train or the Airport Limousine bus to Tokyo.

From Tokyo the Shinkansen (bullet train) takes you to Nagano, and from Nagano to Goryu by bus where we pick you up. Approximate travel time is 3 hours.
From Tokyo / Shinjuku by bus direct to Goryu. Approximate travel time 4.5 hours.
There is also a private taxi service direct from Narita Airport to Snowbird Pension. Travel time can vary, depending on extra pickups andĀ  dropoffs.

For 10/11 there is a bus service meeting the Australian flights at Narita Airport and travelling direct to Hakuba. Ask for details and Booking.

If self booking your holiday we can assist with timetables and bookings.

Most large businesses in Japan accept Cedit Cards.
Cash withdrawals can be made at international ATMs located at 7-11 stores with VISA. The local Post Office accepts most debit cards, including Travel Money Cards. We would suggest having enough cash on hand for normal day to day expenses, as there is no EFTPOS.
